CONSTITUTION

The mission of AFSSA is to promote awareness of Asian/Pacific American culture, and, to coordinate and promote activities leading to the betterment of Asian/Pacific Americans at CSUSB and beyond. Further, AFSSA aims to identify issues, advance equality and diversity on campus, and foster interaction and partnership between the university and the greater Asian/Pacific American community.

To accomplish common goals defined by the CSUSB Diversity Strategic Plan to "Improve communications among members of the campus" and to "open discussion of viewpoints to promote understanding in a multicultural environment.", we:

1. Sponsor and support activities that enhance the Asian cultural awareness and perception;
2. Promote Asian studies through fellowship;
3. Enhance the equal opportunity environment for Asian faculty, staff and students; and
4. Open our membership to all faculty, staff, and Student of the CSU, San Bernardino.
